If you want to add decorative stitching to leather, the LL Leather Needle is the ideal choice.
The lenticular cutting point LL (= twist point) cuts easily through leather, tough synthetic leather and similar materials. This means that the needle does not break as easily and the hole is more precise than with a Universal Needle, for example. The resulting seam consists of slightly sloping stitches, creating a visually decorative effect.
To make sure the seam does not tear, the stitches should be longer than usual (stitch setting of at least 3). The Leather Needle is not suitable for textiles as it cuts through woven and knitted threads upon insertion, thereby causing holes.
The 130/705 H LL Leather Needle with a flat shank is suitable for all conventional household sewing machines.
